Torchwood Forums hosting fees alone cost over £500 a year and that excludes additional bandwidth (we have a huge amount of data sent to people who browse the forums) & software costs! It is with many thanks to those members who have kindly donated already (and those who do so on a regular occasion!) that we are still online, without those kind members, Torchwood Forum would not be here!
Thanks to donations, we have moved on to a virtual server instead of a normal shared hosting environment, now I need your help to ensure we stay there! Since we moved onto the new platform, we have seen very few server errors and can now browse & enjoy a much faster forum.
The basic functionality of the site will always be free, but to get access to the additional features you will have to become a Torchwood Elite member.

Torchwood Elite is the highest level of Membership on Torchwood Forum. It's a paid membership which gives users increased privileges, a status of recognition, not only as a user, but it shows your contribution to being a part of Torchwood Forum and helping to support its future.

Do I have to be Torchwood Elite?No, all donations no matter how small are always welcome and will go to towards the running costs of Torchwood Forum. In order to become Torchwood Elite, you need to donate a certain amount to the site.
How much does Torchwood Elite cost?Torchwood Elite membership costs just £10 a year, or £20 for life.
How long does it take to be activated?If you donate using the donation system, you will automatically (almost instantly!) be added to the Torchwood Elite group if you donate more than £10. Within 24 hours you will receive a "Welcome PM" and your Torchwood Forum email address setup if you request one. If you donate by any other method (cash/cheque), your account will be upgraded once it has I have received it & it has cleared.
I'm not from the UK - how much would it be for me?As it is done through PAYPAL, your correct fee will be adjusted according to your currency.
Can I donate using another payment method?Due to the ease of use and the popularity of PayPal, Torchwood Forum predominantly uses this system to accept donations. The PayPal account associated with Torchwood Forum is a verified PayPal account. Verified PayPal members have confirmed their financial identity by successfully completing PayPal's Verification process. The Verification process is a way for PayPal to gain additional proof of a member's identity in conjunction with their own authentication methods, and increases the security of our payment network for everyone.

How does the PayPal donation system work?When you make a donation, you will be asked for the amount you wish to donate & your donation method (One off payment or recurring payment) before being re-directed to PayPal to complete the donation.
